A five-day silence and a five-minute apology: Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg addressed the Cambridge Analytica affair in a sugary speech and an interview with CNN. He spoke of mistakes, responsibilities and reforms, and promised “to make sure it never happens again.” But isn’t it his business model to take as much data as possible from users and sell it to as many advertising customers as possible? As a data protector, he’s the wrong man for the job.
